Effective date

These terms took effect on October 2, 2026, and that is also the date of the last update. If you are reading a printed or saved copy, check the date at the top of the live page before you rely on it.

A job we have already quoted in writing stays under the terms that were current on the day you signed that quote. A later change here does not reach back into a signed job.

02

Who these terms are with

You are dealing with Electricserviceshomellc, trading as Electric Services Home LLC at electricserviceshomellc.co. Our postal address is 3120 N St Louis Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60618, United States. Phone 312-284-7542. Email [email protected].

We are a small electrical contractor working inside the City of Chicago on homes, two-flats, small apartment buildings and small commercial spaces. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean that business. "You" means the person using the site or asking us for work.

03

What this site does, and what it does not

The site describes the electrical work we take on, explains how we price it and lets you contact us. That is all it does. You can read about panel upgrades, conduit rewiring, EV charger circuits, lighting, repair and small commercial build-outs, read how we work, send an inquiry through the contact form or open the support chat.

It is not a store. There is no account to open, no cart, no checkout and no card field anywhere. It is also not electrical advice for your building. A paragraph about Chicago electrical code conduit rules or about why an electrical inspection failed in Chicago is general explanation, written for a typical case. Your panel, your wiring and your inspector are specific, and only a site visit tells us what applies to them.

Do not use this site in an emergency

If something smells hot, is smoking or is arcing, kill the main if you can do it safely, get out and call 911. Then call us on 312-284-7542. A form or a chat message is not watched minute by minute.

04

Inquiries, quotes and how a job becomes an order

Nothing is sold or paid for on this site. Sending the form, writing in the chat or emailing us creates no contract and commits neither side to anything. It is a request for us to look at a job.

Any figure you hear before a written quote, including a range we give from a photo of your panel label, is an estimate. It is not a binding quote. A range from a photo tells you whether the job is in the neighborhood of what you expected. It cannot see a rotted service mast or a neutral bonded in a subpanel where it should float.

The order happens in this sequence, and no step is skipped:

  1. You contact us. We ask what the job is and, usually, for a photo of the panel label.
  2. We visit, open what needs opening and look at the panel, the service and the route the wire has to take.
  3. We send a written quote: scope, materials, what is excluded, the total in US dollars and the expected days on site.
  4. You accept the written quote in writing. Only then is there an agreement, and it is the quote plus these terms.

If the written quote and anything on this site disagree, the written quote wins.

05

How work is priced

All prices are in US dollars. We price each kind of job on its own basis, and the site states that basis rather than a figure:

  • Panel and service upgrades: a fixed written quote after a site visit.
  • Rewiring in EMT conduit: a fixed quote per floor after a walk-through.
  • Level 2 EV charger circuits: a range from a panel photo and the run length to the garage, confirmed on site.
  • Lighting and devices: per fixture and per device, itemized on the written quote.
  • Troubleshooting and repair: a diagnostic visit first, then the repair quoted before any work starts.
  • Small commercial build-outs: quoted from drawings or a walk-through.

Every quote is priced in metal raceway where the Chicago electrical code calls for it. That is the main reason our number does not grow at inspection. It also means a quote from a crew pricing plastic-sheathed cable will look cheaper on paper. We will not match it by dropping the conduit.

A fixed quote changes in two situations only. One: you ask for more or different work, and we write the change down and price it before doing it. Two: we open a wall or a box and find a condition nobody could see at the visit, such as live knob-and-tube spliced into a circuit we were told was new, or a damaged service entrance the utility will not reconnect to. In that case we stop, show you, and put the extra in writing. You decide before we continue. Utility charges, city permit fees and any equipment you choose yourself, such as the charger unit, are listed on the quote as separate lines when they apply.

06

Workmanship warranty

We stand behind our own work. If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it at no charge for labor or for the parts we supplied. The length of that cover is written on your quote and on the final invoice for the job, because a service upgrade and a single receptacle swap do not deserve the same period.

What counts as our workmanship

  • Terminations: a loose lug, a neutral that backs off, a connection that runs warm.
  • Conduit and raceway we ran: fittings that separate, straps that let go, a run that pulls away from its box.
  • Breakers and devices we fitted, where the fault is in the fitting rather than the product.
  • Our patch-back. If a patch we made over our own opening cracks along its edges, we redo it to paint-ready.
  • An inspection correction on work we did. If the city inspector writes up something we installed, we correct it without charge and rebook the inspection.

What it does not cover

  • Equipment faults inside a manufactured product, such as a charger unit, a fixture driver or a breaker that fails on its own. Those fall under the maker's warranty, and we will help you make the claim.
  • Existing wiring we were not asked to replace. If we rewire the first floor, the second floor's original circuits are still original.
  • Work changed, added to or repaired by someone else after we left, including another contractor adding circuits to the panel we installed.
  • Damage from water, fire, impact, pests, a lightning strike or a utility-side surge.
  • Paint. We patch to paint-ready. You paint.
To use the warranty

Call 312-284-7542 or email [email protected] with the job address, roughly when we did the work and what is happening. A photo helps. If a breaker we installed trips twice, stop resetting it and call.

This warranty adds to whatever rights Illinois law already gives you. It does not take any of them away.

07

Acceptable use

Use the site to find out about the work and to contact us. Do not use it for any of the following:

  • Sending inquiries in someone else's name, or with a phone number or address that is not yours to give.
  • Flooding the form or the chat with automated or repeated messages, or trying to get past the spam checks built into them.
  • Probing, scanning or attacking the site, its server or any part of it that is not linked from a public page.
  • Uploading or pasting malware, or content that is unlawful, threatening or harassing toward our crew.
  • Scraping the text or photographs to republish them, or to train software on them.

What you send through the form and chat is handled as our privacy notice describes. The ad and measurement tags this site runs, and how you allow or decline them, are set out in the cookie notice.

08

Ownership of content

The text, photographs, logo, wordmark and page design on electricserviceshomellc.co belong to Electric Services Home LLC or are used with permission. You may read them, print a page for your own reference and share a link. You may not copy them onto another site, into an ad or into a quote from another contractor.

A written quote we send you is yours to keep and to show to your lender, your insurer, your condo board or another contractor for comparison. That is what it is for.

09

Disclaimers

The site is provided as is. We keep it accurate and we correct mistakes when we find them, but we do not warrant that every page is free of error, that the site is available every hour of the day, or that it runs without fault on every browser.

Trade figures on the site, such as 12 AWG copper on a 20 amp circuit, a 240 volt circuit on a 40 or 50 amp breaker for a Level 2 charger, or the jump from 100 amp to 200 amp service, describe common practice. They are not a design for your building. Do not open your own panel on the strength of a paragraph here. The only work we warrant is work we did under a written quote, as section 06 sets out.

Lead times and days on site we mention are typical, not promised, until they are written on your quote. The utility sets its own meter appointments and the city sets its own inspection dates. We book them; we do not control them.

10

Limit of liability

For use of the website itself, which is free and sells nothing, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reading it, relying on its general information or being unable to reach it.

For paid work, our liability is set by the signed written quote and by Illinois law. Where the law allows a limit, our liability for a job is limited to putting our own work right or, if that cannot reasonably be done, refunding what you paid for the part of the job that failed. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else Illinois law does not allow a business to exclude.

11

Refusing or withdrawing access

We can block an IP address, close a chat thread or ignore form submissions from anyone who breaks section 07, without notice. We can also take the site or any part of it offline for maintenance or for good.

We can decline any inquiry. We do, regularly: a request to add circuits to a panel already full of tandem breakers it was not listed for, a request to run plastic-sheathed cable inside Chicago where code calls for conduit, or a request for a firm phone price without seeing the panel. Declining a job before a quote is signed costs you nothing and owes you nothing. A signed job is ended only on the terms written in that quote.

12

Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any job agreed through a written quote, run under the law of Illinois, United States. A dispute that cannot be settled by talking it through is heard in the courts of Chicago.

Before anything formal, call or write to us. Most disagreements over a job are about a line on a quote or a patch that is not right yet, and both are faster to fix on site than in a filing.

13

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we publish the new text on this page and change the effective date at the top and in section 01. If the change affects how quotes, prices or the warranty work, we also say so in a short note at the head of the page for at least 30 days.

As section 01 says, a job you have already signed for stays on the terms in force on the day you signed.
