Privacy notice · Accessibility · Data requests
We keep your inquiry for 24 months, answer data requests in 14 days, and sell nothing.
This is what an electrician in Chicago does with the name, phone number and job address you send us, what the ad platforms see when you click through, and how to make us hand it back or delete it. Written flat and laid out like a statute.
Twenty parts, set in two columns with a rule between them. Read down the left column, then the right.
Part 1Date and scope
1.1Effective dateThis notice takes effect on October 2, 2026, and that is also the date it was last updated. It covers electricserviceshomellc.co, the inquiry form on it, the support chat on it, and the phone and email conversations that start from it. It does not cover what happens on a job site, which is a conversation between you and the crew standing in your basement.
We are a residential and small commercial electrical contractor. The site exists so people can ask us for a panel upgrade, a rewire, an EV charger circuit or a repair. Everything below follows from that one purpose.
Part 2Who is responsible
2.1ControllerThe site is operated by Electricserviceshomellc, trading as Electric Services Home LLC at electricserviceshomellc.co. Postal address: 3120 N St Louis Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60618, United States. Phone 312-284-7542. Email [email protected].
We decide what is collected and why. Under the GDPR that makes us the controller; under California law, the business. There is no parent company, no data broker and no reseller behind us.
Part 3What we take
3.1The inquiry formWhen you send the form, cafuc65.php writes down your name, phone, email, the job address, the kind of inquiry you picked, your message, any specification you typed (panel brand, amperage, run length to the garage), and the tick in the consent box. Nothing else from the form is kept.
3.2Recorded with itAlongside the form, the server records your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the referring URL, the moment the page was rendered and the moment the form was sent. The two timestamps exist mainly to catch bots, which fill a form in under a second.
3.3The support chatIf you open the chat, vidaafa.php keeps the conversation and anything you choose to put in it: a name, a phone number, an email. A token is stored in your browser so you can close the tab and come back to the same thread.
3.4LogsThe web server keeps standard access logs: IP address, time, the page asked for, status code, user-agent.
3.5Browser storageYour consent choice is stored in your browser under site_consent_v2. Nothing else on this site persists a choice. If you allow storage, the advertising and measurement tags described in Part 6 may set their own cookies; the full list sits on the cookie notice.
3.6Click identifiersIf you arrived from an ad, the address you landed on carries a click identifier: gclid from Google Ads, msclkid from Microsoft Advertising, fbclid from Meta Ads. It is a string of characters tied to that click, not your name.
No account, no password, no payment and no card data. Nothing is sold on this site and no payment is taken here. Quotes are written after a visit and paid off the site.
Part 4What it is for
4.1Answering youForm and chat data are used to call you back, book a site visit, look at the panel photo you sent, write the quote and do the job. The address tells us whether the job is inside the city and how the van gets there.
4.2Keeping the site upLogs and the two timestamps are used to block spam, trace faults and keep the server patched and running.
4.3Measuring adsClick identifiers and ad cookies, only after you allow them, tell Google, Microsoft and Meta that a click ended in an inquiry. That lets us stop paying for searches that never bring in real work. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
4.4RecordsA copy of the inquiry and our reply stays on file so that when you call back in March about the job we quoted in November, we know what we said.
Part 5Legal bases
5.1Bases statedFor visitors covered by the GDPR, each use rests on one of three grounds: consent you give and can withdraw, steps you asked us to take before a contract or the contract itself, and our legitimate interest in running a site that is not drowned in spam.
Purpose and the ground it rests on
- Inquiry form Purpose: call back, visit, quote, job. Legal basis: contract and steps before one; consent tick.
- Support chat Purpose: answer the question asked. Legal basis: steps before a contract; legitimate interest.
- IP, user-agent, timestamps Purpose: spam blocking, fault tracing. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Server logs Purpose: security and uptime. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- gclid, msclkid, fbclid and ad cookies Purpose: conversion measurement. Legal basis: consent.
- site_consent_v2 Purpose: remembering your choice. Legal basis: legitimate interest; record of consent.
Where the basis is consent, nothing runs until you allow it. Where it is legitimate interest, you can object, and Part 17 says how.
Part 6Advertising platforms
6.1Who sends trafficWe pay for ads. Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising send traffic to this site today, and Meta Ads sends it when a campaign runs there. A person searching "breaker keeps tripping chicago" or "panel upgrade chicago" may click one of those ads and land here.
6.2IdentifiersEach platform attaches its own click identifier to the link: gclid for Google Ads, msclkid for Microsoft Advertising, fbclid for Meta. The site reads it from the landing URL. With your consent, it is reported back to the platform that sent the click when an inquiry is made. Without consent, it is not stored by any tag.
We have not been reviewed, certified or endorsed by any of these platforms, and nothing here should be read as saying so.
Part 7Consent Mode v2
7.1Default deniedThe site uses Google Consent Mode v2. Before you choose, four signals are set to denied: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage. In that state no advertising or analytics cookie is written and no user data is sent for ad purposes.
7.2On allow and on declinePress Allow on the banner and the four signals switch to granted. Press Decline, or later withdraw through Cookie settings in the footer, and all four go straight back to denied. The choice is kept as site_consent_v2 for 6 months, then the banner asks again.
7.3Global Privacy ControlIf your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal (the Sec-GPC header), we treat it as a refusal and do not ask again. See Part 14.
Part 8Who receives it
8.1Named one by oneData goes to these parties and nobody else:
- Google Ireland Ltd and Google LLC, for Google Ads. Google attaches gclid to a click and receives the Consent Mode signals. Its terms are at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd, for Microsoft Advertising, which attaches msclkid. Its own handling is covered by the Microsoft privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, for Meta Ads, which attaches fbclid, where a campaign runs there.
- The hosting provider that serves this site and stores the inquiry database.
- The mail provider that carries the notification of a new inquiry to our inbox.
The ad platforms get the click identifier and the consent state. They do not get your message, your address or the photo of your panel. The host and mail provider hold data for us and act on our instructions.
Part 9Transfers
9.1Across bordersWe are in the United States and the data is held here. If you write to us from Europe, sending it means it leaves your country. Google, Microsoft and Meta move data between their European entities and the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which are the mechanisms that make those transfers lawful under the GDPR. Our own transfer of your inquiry to us is necessary to answer the request you made.
Part 10How long
10.1Real periodsNot "as long as necessary". These numbers:
Retention by category
- Inquiries and their email copies Kept for 24 months.
- Chat transcripts Kept for 6 months.
- Server and access logs Kept for 90 days.
- Record of a consent choice Kept for 6 months.
Twenty-four months covers a quote, the job, and the workmanship questions that tend to come back the next winter when the heat goes on. After that the record is deleted, not archived. Cookies set by ad platforms run on their own clocks, listed on the cookie notice.
Part 11Security
11.1MeasuresThe site is served only over HTTPS. The inquiry store sits outside the public web folder and is not reachable by URL. The admin side is behind a login that only the operator holds. Form posts are checked for the two hidden honeypot fields and for impossible timing, and failed posts are dropped. Access is limited to the people who quote and do the work.
No system is perfect. If we find a breach that puts your data at risk, we tell you by the email or phone you gave us, and the authorities where the law requires it.
Part 12Rights under the GDPR
12.1If you write from EuropeUnder the GDPR you have the right of access to the data we hold on you, rectification of anything wrong, erasure, restriction of how we use it while a dispute is settled, portability in a machine-readable file, and objection to any use based on legitimate interest. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not undo what was lawful before it. None of these costs anything.
Part 13Rights under US state law
13.1California and othersIf you live in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collected and why, to delete it, to correct it, to limit the use of sensitive information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Reporting a click identifier to an ad platform after you allow it can count as "sharing" for cross-context advertising under California law, so declining on the banner, or sending Global Privacy Control, is your opt-out. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and the other states with privacy laws in force get the equivalent rights. We will not charge you more or treat you differently for using any of them.
Part 14Global Privacy Control
14.1HonoredWe honor Global Privacy Control. When your browser sends it, the site treats it as an opt-out of sale and sharing, keeps all four Consent Mode signals denied, and does not show you a banner asking to change your mind.
Part 15Children
15.1Not for childrenThis site is for property owners, tenants and managers arranging electrical work. It is not for children and we do not knowingly take data from anyone under 16. If a child has sent us something, tell us and it is deleted.
Part 16Complaints
16.1Where to goTalk to us first; most things are fixed with one email. If that does not settle it, you may complain to your state Attorney General, in Illinois the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, and in California to the California Privacy Protection Agency. Visitors in Europe may complain to the data protection authority of the country where they live or work.
Part 17Making a data request
17.1HowEmail [email protected] with "Data request" in the subject, or write to Electric Services Home LLC, 3120 N St Louis Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60618, United States. Say what you want: a copy, a correction, a deletion, an opt-out. Give us the name and phone or email you used, so we can find the record and confirm it is you.
17.2How longWe answer within 14 days. If we need to confirm identity we ask once, by the contact details on the record, and the clock runs from your reply. An authorized agent can act for you with your signed permission.
Deletion has one limit: if we have done paid work for you, we keep the invoice and job record for as long as tax law requires. Everything else goes.
Part 18Changes
18.1AnnouncedWhen this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a line on this page says what moved. If the change is material, say a new ad platform or a longer retention period, the consent banner shows again so you can choose with the new facts. We do not apply a change backwards to data collected under an older version.
Part 19Accessibility statement
19.1TargetWe build this site to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Text sits on solid color with contrast checked for each pair. The layout reflows from a 320 pixel phone to a wide desktop without sideways scrolling, every control is reachable by keyboard with a heavy focus outline, and every button and menu link is at least 44 pixels tall.
19.2MotionThe job-sequence rail on the home page scrolls sideways by wheel, drag, swipe or arrow keys. If your system asks for reduced motion, it becomes a plain vertical list and the photo collage stops moving.
19.3Known gapsPhotographs carry written descriptions, but a few spec tables on the services page are wide and scroll inside their own box on small phones. The chat is usable by keyboard and screen reader; if it gives you trouble, phone 312-284-7542 instead and you will get a person.
Tell us about any barrier at [email protected]. We reply within 14 days and say what we will change.
Part 20Reaching a person
20.1ContactQuestions about this notice go to the same people who answer the phone about breakers: email [email protected], call 312-284-7542, or post to 3120 N St Louis Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60618. For the cookie side, read the cookie notice; for the rules of using the site and our workmanship warranty, the terms.
If you came here to book a visit, the contact page takes the request, and the services page lays out what each kind of job covers.
